Greetings to you and your friends:
In the past, those who wished to show their appreciation for the men and women who serve our communities in the field of Law-Enforcement were somewhat limited with options. That dilemma has been rectified. Somewhere in days gone by, those individuals with that one common desire to make a difference in their community worked together under the banner of the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. They organized themselves into an Associate Membership of that Lodge, and the journey of one of the most appreciated organizations had begun. That grand idea was copied throughout that state and across the country. Today nearly every state in this country contains within its borders local FOPA memberships.
The FOPAs’ interests revolve around the law enforcement community, and the men and women that have dedicated their lives to the protection of ours. Our purpose is to increase understanding of the rights, duties and problems of law enforcement officers; fostering respect for them and bettering conditions under which they serve society. We assist them when they are giving back to the community, in their efforts for various charities including Special Olympics and programs like Shop with a Cop. In short we are here to make their efforts a little easier, and help make our officer’s lives a little better.
It is an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary organization. This state has an Executive Board that I can only describe as awesome. Each member is willing to assist you in any way necessary, to help you and your group of family or friends on your way to making a difference in the lives of the officers in your area.
